'There my darling in the water…do you see it?'
She was so thrilled at the sighting of the whale
'Yes, I see it.' But he never took his eyes off her
She shone like a polished diamond…
For him…and because of him.
Their hands joined and seldom unlocked
They were lost in the joy of each other
Her head on his shoulder she cried softly
And their tears of sheer happiness filled them with love incomparable
'My darling, I love you so much I can't bear it.'
She whispered. 'Don't let me go, never let me go will you?'
The large creature in the ocean paled to nothing
Under the magic of their intense and fulfilling touch
Their tomorrows ensured wonder with surging pulses
And the raging fire of wanting and needing under heaven
So pure was their love that nothing could invade their space
They both understood the precious gift they had been given
And would never take for granted their many nights of love-making
Nor the surge of life they injected into one another
Every moment of every day love was new.
